Catland MFB Will Continue To Improve Its Standard - Odegbemi

The newly appointed managing - director Catland Microfinance Bank, Mr Odegemi Benjamin Adewale has assured shareholders that the bank will continue to improve its standard and provide better service delivery to its customers and shareholders. Responding to questions from a newshunt in his Ilese office, the progressive minded, easy going bank executive stated that he is poised  to improve the standard of the bank through innovations that will meet the expectations of the customers.
Excerpts.

Q: How do you feel with your appointment as the M.D, Catland MFB and how do you intend to add value to the bank?
A: I appreciate God for His grace because it is not by might nor power but by His grace and privilege. I must appreciate the Board of Directors of the bank for the confidence they had in me by counting me worthy to serve as the M.D of the Bank.
Formerly, I was the head of the internal audit of the bank ten years ago and I was able to contribute my quota to the development of the bank with my experiences and exposure. Now that I have been given a higher responsibility, I would like to assure the entire members of the Board of Directors and all the customers that the confidence they have imposed on me to serve them, will not be dashed.
My vision is to work very hard and take the bank to greater heights. Yes, a standard has already been set and we will continue to improve on it in a bid to ensure that the bank is one of the leading Microfinance Banks in Nigeria. For us to actualize this, we have to ensure that our products are well packaged to provide solutions to the financial challenges of our customers.
We will also introduce new products that will enhance the purchasing power of our customers.

Q: Elese will be celebrating five years on the throne. What is your comment on this development?
A: Ilese is very peaceful and this is so because we have leaders that are up to the task in the community. Elese has been able to add value to his domain over the years and it is our hope that upcoming youths in Ilese will be able to build on the positive legacies of the founding fathers of the community.

Q: What are your recommendations to small scale business owners?
A: For any business to survive, strategy must be put in place and this includes proper book keeping of expenditure and income, as this will be used to evaluate such businesses on regular intervals to assess its growth rate.
My recommendation to small scale businesses is that they should continue to rebrand their product to meet up with modern demands.
